Her style? It’s this wild mix of cyberpunk, glitch art, and dreamlike vibes. Think vibrant colors that just POP, intricate patterns that make your eyes dance, and these totally unexpected juxtapositions that leave you questioning everything. She loves to experiment—sometimes it’s like a kaleidoscope exploded all over the screen, and other times, it’s more subtle but still packs a punch.
And let me tell you, her work invites you into alternate realities. It’s like, you look at one of their pieces and suddenly you’re somewhere else, a place where the normal rules don’t apply and imagination has no limits. You start thinking, “What if?” and “Why not?”—it’s a trip.
So whether it’s those glitched-out cityscapes, those bizarre creatures from who-knows-where, or just some abstract composition that makes you go “Whoa,” her art is something you won’t forget. It’s like a rattle of creativity that bubbles up, shakes you out of the dull and dim, and makes you see things in a whole new way. Just dive in and explore, because honestly, questioning the boundaries of imagination is what it’s all about.

WN: Can you tell us a bit about your creative background?
JRJ: I’ve always been “creative” but never particularly “artistic” — my Dad is a really great artist and musician and I kind of grew up feeling like I could never compare to his talent so I didn’t even try. I loved art and design but never really pursued it. I would exercise my creativity through writing short stories or poetry, interior design, or party planning for my kids and making decorations by hand etc. But it wasn’t until Midjourney that I felt an electric shock of excitement and something just clicked. I was finally able to create the beautiful, weird, sometimes disturbing things in my head all with something as accessible as language.

WN: Can you explain your creative process from concept to the final piece?
JRJ: My “process” is very unorganized, much like my life. I do all my work on my iPhone using Discord. I’m usually inspired by music or a visit to the art museum or by my mental health challenges. I start by building a basic prompt to see how the elements are going to fit together and then I add details and play with syntax until I see something that gives me that little tingle of excitement again. I almost exclusively prompt with chaos at 20 so I have less control but a higher likelihood of creating an image that is unexpectedly interesting. I don’t post-process my images or edit them in Photoshop or anything…they are all straight from Midjourney.

WN: What other tools are essential in your workflow?
JRJ: For images that are going in my Etsy shop, I use Topaz Gigapixel AI to upscale but otherwise it’s just me and my phone.
WN: Are there any specific artist that you look into for inspiration?
JRJ: More and more I’m inspired by my fellow AI artists like @kindabloop, @crswaits, @scorpionsorbet, @dirtcastle, @oonaode to name a few. The AI community hosts tons of art challenges that always inspire me to branch out and try new things.

WN: How would you describe your artistic view? Absorbent?
JRJ: I feel like a sponge just soaking in all the beauty and ugliness around me and then trying to regurgitate that into something more compact. Like a little appetizer of life, both dark and light.
WN: How much impact you think A.I. will have against more traditional art forms?
JRJ: I already see the hate against AI and I know a lot of it comes from misinformation and a lack of exposure to more nuanced AI art/synthography. I think AI is a tool like any other and it will find its place in the stream of artistic expression in time.
